INDIGENOUS LAND RECOGNITION

We believe that Indigenous Reconciliation is critical to the future of Canada and it is up to ALL of us to take an active part in the Reconciliation process.   As part of our efforts with HTH Foundation we hope to inspire everyone to look for your ways to be a part of the reconciliation process, re-educate yourselves about the truth about Indigenous Peoples, Their history, Their worldview, Their contributions and the successes they are having in our world today.

We want to acknowledge the Rightful founders of this land that we work on. Those Peoples include The Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, The Anishinaabeg Peoples, The Neutral,  The Haudenosaunee and The Attawandaron.

We recognize that the land we work on reside on Between the Lakes Treaty No. 3 Territory which was signed between the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation and the Crown in 1792.

Truth and Reconciliation must first acknowledge some hard truths that include:

1. What happened to the Indigenous people of Canada can only be accurately described as Genocide.

2. The absolute tragedies of the Residential School Experience is an example of how this genocide was carried out.

3 As a nation we have failed by keeping the truth out of the light for hundreds of years. This is a conspiracy of racism, lies and hatred.

We strongly encourage you to do your own research. Be open minded to the truth. Become familiar with 94 calls to Action.

The first step to solving any problem is identifying that there is a problem.  The treatment of  and attempted Genocide of the Indigenous Peoples is the Greatest shame in Canadian History.
